Job Description: Working Supervisor Position

Reports To: CEO, VP
Salaried/Salaried Non-Exempt (Seasonal)
 

Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

  • Jobsite audits performed daily unannounced by 700am to ensure compliance with MUTCD and NETC safety requirements. All employees are expected to be audited at least quarterly unannounced. Some evening or night time safety audits may be required as well as weekend audits. This may require you to leave your home several hours before 700am to arrive at work zones in Augusta/Bath ME, Rutland VT or Berlin NH. Occasional overnight travel will be required.
  • Extensive travel to all areas of NH, ME & VT on a daily basis.
  • The ability to administer all steps in disciplinary action.
  • Being on call on a monthly basis (For one week at a time)
  • Provide assistance in office as needed answering calls and giving the necessary job assignments.
  • Assist office personnel with daily time and mileage sheets as needed.
  • Completing necessary NETC office paper work timely. This will require you to be in the Epsom office at least 3 times per week.
  • Repair equipment as needed.
  • Assist in all aspects dealing with workers compensation as needed.
  • Picking up and delivering equipment to/from employees.
  • Assist in contact with customers and employees to ensure safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with CEO, President, Vice President and Supervisors on issues of importance to the company.
  • Setting up and then working complex traffic plans when needed. This includes highway setups and rolling road blocks.
  • Attend all safety and safety committee meetings.
  • Occasionally working as a flagger when needed for various reasons.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, have the ability to logistically coordinate daily/weekly activities
  • 2-3 years of a prior supervisory position a plus.
  • Must have at least 2 years of flagging experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, an outstanding driving record, cell phone and the ability to pass a State of NH DOT random drug test.
  • General knowledge of northern New England towns and locations. The ability to use Google Maps and other basic software/apps such as Excel & Microsoft Word.
  • The ability to pass an ATSSA Flagger Supervisor program.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 17-25 lbs frequently
  • Must be able to travel long distances on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to enter and exit the back of trucks to retrieve equipment frequently.

Position: Office Scheduler

Reports to: CEO & VP
 

Duties and Responsibilities (to include buy may not be limited to the following):

  • To coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling needs of personnel for our customers.
  • To determine personnel projection need for project with customers
  • Speak with customers via phone daily and in person on an occasional basis to determine changes in needs for personnel
  • Work closely with President, Vice-President, and Supervisors to determine forecasting
  • Coordinate presentations at employee meetings to communicate feedback of customers
  • Build and maintain project schedules; build and maintain reports pertaining to the schedules
  • Coordinate/expedite equipment for a given scope of work
  • Assist in providing quotes to customers for all job-related projects.
  • Assist in maintaining office equipment, as well as, traffic controller equipment
  • Assist office personnel with daily time and mileage sheets
  • Take the work calls after hours and on weekends essentially being on the “On Call “ rotation every 4-7 weeks.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years of Planner/Scheduler Experience
  • Data accuracy; report writing skills
  • Must be able to multi-task an extremely fast paced work environment
  • Possess excellent Interpersonal and Organizational Communication Skills
  • Possess excellent Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work within project deadlines
  • Must have computer experience which includes previous scheduling experience and coordination. In addition, must possess an advanced knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. MS PowerPoint and QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Must have excellent and professional communication skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license, vehicle and phone

Valued, but not required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Bachelors Degree a plus
  • 5-7 years experience in a service or related industry

  • Must be able to lift 15-25 lbs. frequently
  • Must be able to travel to the Epsom office daily
